Not many books have been written on New Zealand evangelical church history, even less with a focus on the history of TSCF. Stuart Lange in his understated and humble way has written a marvelous account of the rise of evangelicalism in New Zealand and how it affected both the churches and the student ministries at the time and right up to the present.
What stands out in A Rising Tide is that the commitment to the gospel, preaching the cross of Christ and loving people changed the face of the New Zealand church forever. These continue to be the core values of our student ministry as we seek to bring the gospel to the next generation. To learn from the past and stand with our brothers and sisters who stood for those things is both an encouragement and an inspiration to do the same.
