Ruth Hicks & Josué Olmedo

CECE Ecuador

TSCF partners with CECE in Ecuador through a husband-and-wife team from both countries.

Hi, I’m Ruth and I love to see students’ lives being transformed by serving in community and study of the Bible. The beach, art galleries, sunshine and spending time with friends are among a few of my favourite things. I began my involvement in student ministry as part of Massey University Christian Fellowship (MUCF) for five years before going to Ecuador to get experience in health and development work. I have worked in Ecuador with CECE since 2002 as campus staff and in national training roles. Currently I’m leading the staff team in Quito and overseeing student groups in seven universities.

Saludos, soy Josué. I’m keen to help students engage their faith intelligently with every area of their lives – personal, academic and professional. Reading, movie-watching and bush-walking are where you’ll find me when not working. I got involved in student ministry as a dentistry student prior to becoming a campus staff worker in 2000. After a time of serving as training staff and some theological study I have been serving as CECE’s National Director since 2014. You will also find me working as a dentist two mornings a week.

Hola, soy Ana Gracia (27-7-2006). I love to play soccer, hang out with friends and participate in CECE activities.

I’m Ela Paz (18-9-2010). I love to draw, dance and create things. Hanging out with students and going to the swimming pool are other favourite things.
