Phillip Luey

Associate Staff Worker

Phillip is of Chinese heritage born and raised in Lower Hutt. He grew up going to the Anglican Chinese Mission and found that his faith really grew when he joined a TSCF group in his third year at university. The way the TSCF group read the Bible, studied it and lived their lives in the light of God’s word made a big impact on him.

After he completed his studies, he did a ministry internship with TSCF for two years, working and serving with the students at Victoria University. He married Emma Puloka in 2019, and they lived in Tonga for about five and a half years before returning to Wellington at the beginning of 2026.

Most of the week Phillip works as an audiologist at Wellington, Kenepuru and Lower Hutt hospitals. He really enjoys sports and having a good chat over a meal.
