Liam came to Lincoln University in 2022 to study a 3-year Bachelor of Agriculture with the hopes of going into farming post-university. Heralding from the Hibiscus Coast in North Auckland, Liam didn’t grow up in a farming family but was interested and passionate about farming from a young age. Studying agriculture at Lincoln University became the natural choice for Liam once he’d finished high school.

Before coming to Lincoln, Liam had grown up in a Christian family and attended Kingsway, a Christian school, but his faith was still his family’s and not yet his own. Liam’s time in the Lincoln Uni Christian Fellowship was pivotal for him and grew the maturity of his faith immensely. The CF grew in him a deep hunger for knowing the scriptures and a desire to serve others in the fellowship. God used opportunities within the CF to grow Liam in his evangelism, his discipleship of others, and his confidence in the scriptures. Serving on the CF leadership team and running bible studies was particularly important for Liam during his time at university.

Upon graduating university, Liam went into full-time farming, first on a dairy farm in Rangiora and currently on a young-stock dairy support farm in Burnham. Liam’s love for the CF and his desire to see the ministry continue to grow never left him after leaving university. This led to conversations with Chris Hay about how Liam could continue to partner and serve the ministry at Lincoln even while farming, which lead to the opportunity of becoming an associate staff worker with the Lincoln team. Since partway through 2026, Liam has been serving by leading a 1-to-1 Bible study with a new first-year student at Lincoln, as well as helping out with other CF events like cooking for their annual camp.
