Auckland International Student Ministry
As part of the Auckland OMF New Zealand, I am seconded to TSCF to work with international students at Massey University, Albany. I enjoy helping students learn English, running day trips, meeting one-on-one with students, prayer, leading Bible studies and running introductions to Christianity. My wife, Annette, also volunteers with the work at Massey in addition to her work as an occupational therapist.
Our vision is to see international students come to Christ, and for Christians to grow in their knowledge of God and his word. I am from Auckland, but after completing a course about teaching English as a foreign language course I lived and taught in China.
I learnt Chinese there and in Taiwan.
Many of the international students we work with have moved to New Zealand from China and other parts of Asia. The key to this student ministry, as with others, is prayer and a deepening knowledge of the Bible through careful study. Please continue to pray for their ministry among international students.
