Anna Jacobs
Auckland Staff Worker
Anna loved being part of Christian Union while at university in Melbourne and the opportunities to learn and grow and to make friends who continue to walk with her in her Christian life.
Two years after graduating Anna felt that God was guiding her back to student ministry, so in 2018 started a two year apprenticeship with AFES. Anna has been serving in a staff worker role ever since, alongside graduating with a masters degree at Ridley Theological College. Anna loves working with tertiary students and having the space to encourage them in their faith, to help them understand who Jesus is and to know God’s word better. Over her time with AFES Anna had the opportunity to work on a large campus with the local students group, on a much smaller campus, and most recently worked specifically with the international students ministry.
Anna has now been working with TSCF since 2025 after hearing about needs for staff in our sister movements around the world and being challenged to think about whether God was asking her to go and serve him somewhere else in the South Pacific. After much discernment Aotearoa, her mother’s homeland, is where God has put her! Anna is excited about the work happening in TSCF and the part she gets to play in it serving across campuses in Auckland and getting to engage with both local and international students.
Outside of ministry Anna has recently fallen back in love with dancing, enjoy getting out into God’s beautiful creation, reading and various creative projects.
