Bethany Robb
Auckland Staff Worker
Bethany grew up moving frequently between New Zealand, Canada, and China, where she learned Mandarin. God gave her a heart to welcome newcomers and introduce them to Jesus.
At university in Auckland, TSCF taught Bethany how to open the Bible with friends on campus. Through TSCF’s ministry internship, God encouraged her to continue sharing the good news of Jesus and helping Christians grow in their faith. Bethany worked as a primary school teacher as well as studying towards a Master of Theological Studies to equip herself for cross-cultural ministry.
God has led Bethany to serve international students at Massey University, Auckland. She loves welcoming students from all around the world at English corner. Reading the Bible with students exploring faith is a regular highlight, especially when it’s in Mandarin. She’s often amazed by students’ questions and insights.
Bethany also works part time as an educator, with a passion for supporting children’s learning. She enjoys spending time with her church family as well as whānau and friends. Walking, reading, gardening and dabbling with art are some of her favourite ways to relax.
