I and my wife, Janet, have lived in Torbay since 2015 and love being there. Janet is a Plunket nurse and has also been an Air New Zealand stewardess.

Before moving to Torbay, I pastored for 19 years in Manurewa, 8 years at St Andrews Presbyterian and then 11 years at Covenant Presbyterian. Before that I ministered for two years in Christchurch, including to Canterbury Uni students, and helped to plant a church in Ashburton. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy from Monash University Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Theology from the Australian College of Theology.

Having grown up on a farm in Australia, I never like to be too far from the great outdoors. I enjoy cycling, long tramps, reading, cooking and good blues music. The great joys of my life have been marrying Janet, having three great kids, pastoring, and riding 2,600 kilometers through New Zealand. I love explaining the great truths of God’s Word, and spending time caring for people and helping them grapple with life’s challenges.
