Otago Staff Worker
I have called New Zealand home ever since my family moved here from South Africa over 11 years ago. I grew up in Christchurch and I graduated from Lincoln University where I studied Food and Resource Economics. During my time at university I was involved with the Christian Fellowship club on campus. Being a part of this fellowship has reshaped my faith as it challenged me to continually pursue becoming more like Jesus in all the areas of my life.
After my studies I moved to Dunedin where I did the TSCF Ministry Internship Year, more commonly known as Minty. This was an opportunity to spend a year thinking critically about my faith, and get hands-on experience in student ministry by supporting the various Christian fellowships at the University of Otago. I grew a deeper appreciation for Dunedin and the work God is already doing in the hearts of students here. I still have a passion for economics and have an interest in working in that field in the future, but through Minty I felt that, right now, there is a great opportunity to be a part of God’s work on the campuses of universities and polytechnics around New Zealand. So I am excited to be a part of the TSCF team down in the deep south working to reach students for Christ, and changing students for life.
In my down time I enjoy going for walks, listening to music, playing the guitar, trying out different foods, reading, and playing ice hockey.
