Growing up in a Christian family I always believed God was real, but my faith became alive and personal when the challenges of life as a teenager drew me closer to God. This relationship deepened through my involvement with TSCF as a university student, as I experienced great Bible teaching and friendships with peers who were also committed to following Jesus.
I originally trained in Clinical Psychology at Massey University, and worked in adult mental health for a number of years. While this was rewarding, I wanted to pursue ways to help others grow in their relationship with Jesus, and took on a new role as a chaplain at Massey for three years. I loved building relationships with students and encouraging them in their relationship with God.
In 2017 I married Nick, and we moved to Christchurch later that year. Feeling led to pursue writing and editing, I recently completed an Editing qualification. I enjoy reading, dancing, and pondering the integration of psychology and the Christian faith. I’m excited to join the TSCF team as Communications Manager, helping to communicate the gospel in creative ways so students can grow and be transformed by the love of Christ.
