VUWCU (or CU for short) is the Victoria University of Wellington Christian Union. Our vision for the group is to be a community of students being shaped by God's Word, and passionately sharing the truth, love and hope of Jesus Christ on campus. We are always learning and constantly being challenged as to what it means to be a student and have faith in God.
We meet both as a large group and as smaller Bible study groups throughout the week (see below). All are welcome!
THURSDAY MEETINGS, 6pm, 8 Kelburn Parade:
CU meets as a large group throughout semesters 1 and 2. Thursday nights give us a chance to hang out, eat together, pray and study God's Word.
SMALL GROUPS:
We call these "Plets" (i.e. triplets, quadruplets...) as they vary in size from 3-7. Plets meet weekly for an hour or so and give people an opportunity to study the Bible more closely. As there are fewer people than in a large group meeting, it's a great time for asking tough questions, sharing about yourself and what you’re thinking, and praying for each other.

Praise God for the Bible study and social events we've had over summer combined with ICF. Thank God for the great discussion the Christ Files DVD's inspired.

Please pray for CU-ers, that we would have the passion and courage/boldness to share the good news and love of Jesus Christ both on campus and in our everyday lives.

We also pray that God would use us for his glory on our campus.

Pray that new students would feel welcomed at Victoria and find a way of connecting with God on campus.

We anticipate more than 200 participants for SPaRC (5-9 April). Please pray for a minimum of 30 from NZ to come. We would like to have one student from each TSCF group in NZ.
