Mel grew up in lovely Palmerston North, and moved to Wellington to study. She has been flatting in various places for four years, and loves it! A recent graduate, she majored in English Literature and Psychology at Victoria University, and was heavily involved in Christian Union.
Mel loves writing, music, coffee, people… and God! She attends Elim International Church, and flats with four other young people. She is fascinated by the arts and by global things… and by all things chocolate…
Mel’s life is continually being changed by Jesus, and she loves talking to other people about him. She also loves seeing people grow in the knowledge of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and overcome difficulties and differences as a result. Seeing people develop in their giftings and passions is a primary source of joy to Mel, as is talking on a deeper level with them over coffee - in fact,Mel would love to have coffee with YOU!
Mel is based in the Wellington office, working primarily in TSCF’s communications and events. This involves publications such as Canvas, Prayer Matters, The Loop and the Annual Review, as well as the administration of conferences and training events. She will be providing maternity cover for Rachel Turner and Anna Holmes for most of 2011.
Praise God for answering our prayers and providing staff for Hamilton. Pray for the Lims as they make preparations to move to Hamilton & invest in student ministry there.
