Jeff Pelz grew up in Minnesota, USA, the land of 10,000 lakes (and lots of snow). He served with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, USA before joining TSCF staff. He and his wife, Jane, and two kids, arrived in New Zealand in September 2006 by way of Oxford, England where they worked with international students. They are based in Auckland. A complicated identity: They are Americans and were first on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in Chicago for many years, but have been living in the UK from 1998-2005. While there they were working with IFES coordinating teams in Europe, as well as locally coming alongside student work in Oxford with a bent toward international student outreach. Jeff and Jane enjoy unearthing 'culture' and conducting cross-cultural training for students. With two percent of the people in NZ as international students, Jeff and Jane see tremendous opportunities for outreach and discipleship. They are also part of the Auckland staff team at Auckland University working with the Overseas Christian Fellowship. Jeff enjoys gardening and landscaping (but not in the rain) and Jane enjoys reading recipe books with flavors from around the world. He loves eating Asian food and watching World War II documentaries.
As Auckland Team Leader, Jeff is in charge of the ministry to students in the Auckland region.
We anticipate more than 200 participants for SPaRC (5-9 April). Please pray for a minimum of 30 from NZ to come. We would like to have one student from each TSCF group in NZ.

Our AOCF camp is taking place over Easter. Most of the committee are heading home over the summer, so pray that we utilise the internet so we can plan efficiently.

We thank God for a good turnout of newcomers to our group, and hope that they continue to come for fellowship and bonding in Christ!
