Personal Profile

Andy became a Christian at 17 but ‘got serious’ about Jesus shortly before starting University. He caught a vision for student ministry whilst at St. Andrews University, where he also met his wife. After one year on the UK’s graduate internship (Relay) he joined UCCF staff in 1994, working alongside students in Northern England for 6 years. From 2000-2005 Andy as part of UCCF Leadership Team; leading the Relay Programme. Andy, his wife and their 3 kids arrived in NZ in 2005 for Andy to take up the Head of Training role. Andy writes, 'Moving here and working with TSCF has humbled us, broken us, reminded us of grace and deepened our confidence in the sovereignty of God, the sufficiency of grace and the power of the good news about Jesus for students on campus today. We love NZ, are glad that God has called us here and are excited to find out what lies ahead…'  Andy's role has now transitioned to Head of Strategic Development and he's passionate about TSCF ministry growing in depth, breadth, reach and impact as we focus on our four aims: True Witness, Undivided Life, Deep Thought and Global Reach.

Role Profile

Andy lives in east Auckland with his wife and three kids and works as the Head of Strategic Development, taking the lead in supporting and developing TSCF's team leaders, passionate about how our commitment to TSCF's four aims works itself out on campus, fully committed to student leadership and infected with a weird sense of humour. A national job with local impact Andy is working to proactively shape TSCF ministry to make the truth of Jesus known on today's campuses in a language that today's students recognise and understand.
