New Zealand has approximately 400,000 tertiary students studying through 8 Universities and a plethora of private and public colleges.

We have almost 90,000 international students studying with us. Many are from South Asia with a growing number from India and the Middle East.

New Zealand's church attendance has plummeted in the last 50 years from 20% in the 1960's to approximately 6-8% in 2006. The marginalisation of the Christian gospel in every area of society has been breathtaking to observe. Some commentators suggest New Zealand is the most secular nation in the western world.

Taking opportunities in the face of these challenges is a TSCF staff team of 20 who come from throughout New Zealand and around the world. We have approximately 500 students in 22 campus groups in Universities, and Training Institutes, but we are not standing still.

We are establishing staff teams of friends on each campus. We are developing new professional networks to resource and equip graduates for gospel shaped lives in the market place. Our Internship training year (MINTY) is starting to have a significant impact.

Our International Student work is respected through-out IFES as cutting edge. With so many international students coming to New Zealand, we have established the position of Head of World mission to resource our growing international focus.
