Auckland University Evangelical Union

Welcome to EU!

We are an interdenominational, student-led group at the University of Auckland that is grounded in the Bible as the true story that guides and informs our lives, and allows us to be innovative for the gospel on campus. We are particularly focussed on how we, and the gospel, might connect with students of a kiwi-mindset.

Our vision is to be individuals and a group who live out an integrated vision of faith, studies, life and mission. Our calling is to reach students for Christ.

As a large commuter campus with no unifying campus culture, Auck Uni can be a daunting place with little sense of community. We value real transformation within ourselves, our friends and classmates and our wider campus and therefore place importance on people over structures and programmes. We recognise that transformation takes place in the context of relationship and thus seek to form authentic and meaningful relationships with each other, and those we come in contact with though our time at uni – in light of our relationship with our God. As we do so we aim to change core conversations to be about Jesus.

We meet together over dinner Tuesdays, Maclaurin Chapel (cnr Princes St and Waterloo Quadrant), 5.30pm during semester. Do come along, we'd love to meet you!
